Hi guys!

I have a quick?

I need to turn on/off a Samsung TV (DB32E) with a computer running Ubuntu and RS232.

Does anyone have a script I can look at sending the hex commands over serial, or even LAN?

Use the echo command.

IE
Serial port is /dev/tty01
command:
echo -n -e "\x16\x16\x16" > /dev/tty01

sends 3 hex 16s to the serial port.
