Hi,
quite new to this forum, but hi anyway.
I´m using a vision techconnect panel called tc2-ctl3 controller. and I would veru much like to control the sony fwl-75w855c using this panel.
Only problem is, the tv does not have an rs232 input. only thing I can find is a minijack input called serial control, remote. How does this Work? do i need a converter or?

I don't fully recall the pinout on Sony tvs but play with it. tx-tip, rx -ring, ground on the sleeve would be my first try on the 3.5mm jack.

Also, if you haven't programmed one of those before, the carriage return is goofy. No /r, CR etc. You type in the serial string and press enter on your keyboard. That is the carriage return. Threw me off for quite awhile.

Good luck.
No, it doesn't come preprogrammed.
