I've got a couple of Xantech 290 receivers, one LCD friendly, the other not. The latter works fine with the LCD TV turned off, but is clearly saturated the instant the TV is turned on.
The LCD friendly one is not perturbed by the TV, but it achieves this by being very selective as to the frequencies it responds to. The frequency to which it is most sensitive can be adjusted.
The devices I am seeking to control appear to be far apart in IR frequencies.
1 Can I attach two LCD friendly receivers in parallel to one connecting block? The instructions suggest that they will interfere with each other, but is that still the case if they are tuned to very different frequencies?
2 Will the more expensive plasma friendly receiver give similar levels of rejection to LCD TV interference? Is it a better, more expensive general purpose receiver that will do the job, money no object, or does it have plasma-specific optimisations that make it less suitable for use with an LCD TV?

None of the CFL/Plasma units are great IMO. I added an RF base so I could set the RF receiver away from the TV and attach an emmitter to the 290. Most recently, I cut the head off an emmiter and wired it direct to my Xantech connecting block.
Putting two that close together will cause issues.

Plasma recievers are really just less susceptable to interference. I also agree that putting two close together will cause interefence in a major way.
