We just launched a beta of Vera, a new energy conservation + home control & security solution with Z-Wave, camera support, and a mobile phone + iPhone interface. Vera is a turnkey solution; it's our software running inside a customized, self-configuring wi-fi access point. So you get the benefit of an appliance, there's no software to install on your PC, just take it out of the box and plug it in, and you don't need to leave a PC on using 200 watts of electricity to control your house. Vera uses only 6 watts. Vera self-updates her firmware so you don't have to worry about obsolescence, Vera will always support the Z-Wave devices, and you'll always have the latest features we offer. Vera supports Z-Wave devices such as light switches, security sensors, energy monitoring power strips and so on. Vera also supports standard IP security cameras and mobile phones, both generic mobile phones, and custom Blackberry and iPhone interfaces.

The products targets a mainstream consumer and goes on retail sale in 6 weeks. Until then, we'd like to get beta testers in the home automation enthusiast/techie community to flush out any incompatibilities, and will be giving away the hardware below cost until October 31, and giving away free Z-Wave accessories to active participants.
