My new ceiling fan has an RF remote. I'd like to control it with infrared commands from my Harmony universal remote. Any ideas who might make a converter?

Does your Harmony learn other codes? If so, I just bought this, but haven't installed it yet. [Link: lutron.com]

I have been using the Lutron MIR-LFQTHW for quite a while now. It's great! I am using them with both my Harmony 1000 and my 890 in different area's, and have used it with the 1000 at a couple customers houses. It works like a charm and if it is in the same room, it usually works (doesn't exactly need direct line of sight, this goes for their Maestro IR dimmers as well...MIR-600thw).
As to the original question, you will not be able to use the RF. You need to replace it with an infrared, as the RF is proprietary. Another option, if your remote has it, is to use z-wave or another rf single pole switch (which will not be able to adjust speed or anything of that nature) directly to the fan, with not receiver module. Some fans like Casablanca's do not have this, so it's not going to work (they are built in to the fan). In that case, you would need to get a kit that disables the receiver in the fan, and than you could purchase the Maestro Fan/Light IR setup.
