I have 2 lights on the back of my house. Each one is controlled
by its own switch and I''d like them to work like a 3-way
circuit so each switch controlls both lights together.
I'd also prefer switch style vs. paddle style and I don't
need dimmers, just on/off switches (in white). Which model
number(s) would do this? Thanks
I was about to explain why this wasn't going to be extremely easy, (a hard wired solution) but then it occurred to me that you may be trying to do this with X-10 switches...yes/no?
If that's case then I'm not sure you can with any certainity that it would work consistently. From what I understand of X-10. There isn't any feedback from the switches themselves. So if you manually used one switch it wouldn't command the other to shut off as well. Not to mention that even if you matched the signal the two separate X-10 switches operate on. There is no guarentee that they would operate reliably together everytime.
Of course you could be planning on using a completely different control system. Much more than just X-10 is discussed in this forum. You didn't mention what you were using, or what you were considering to use, so I can't give you any solid advice on set up or model #.
How about a maybe if you use... #XX-XXX-XX...?
Little more info and I'm sure someone can help.
