Hello,

I am looking to buy the Touchlinc 4.0 X10 Touch Screen Controller. The device used to be manufactured by a company in the U.S. call Smartlinc but it is now discontinued. I was able to find the U.S. version on eBay but I am looking for the European vesion because the U.S. version will not work in my country.

If anyone has one and wants to sell it, please let me know. Otherwise please let me know if there is a company in Europe that might have one to purchase.

Thanks.

The TouchLinc is not specific to either Europe or North America. It interfaces with your home AC circuitry via an X10 Power Line Interface, which IS specific to your AC power grid. You would need a European X10 Power Line Interface.

The TouchLinc also required a AC adapter to supply it power. This may end up being the tricky part. However, if you read the specs on your 110 volt unit carefully, you should be able to cross reference to an equivalent 220 volt adapter.

The TouchLinc software likely will not work with Windows Vista, or XP. I have version 2.0, and it works with Windows 98. I keep a Windows 98 virtual machine specifically for operating my older X10 automation equipment.

The TouchLinc is a nice unit. Have fun with it.
