another side note, is that when there is a failure in your macro, you can just hit the button again and fix the one problem... you'll have 15 or 20 seconds of commands from the remote... this lamp will "jump" to full on, then dim to a %...etc...
I got a few of the "Linc" units (lamplinc,etc) and they do work wonderfully... (no overhead light for me, it washes out my projection screen)
