I have two x10 lamplinc modules hooked up with an IR543. On one module, I have some poster lights set up and the other I have two lamps.
The problem is that sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I don't do anything different each time. I might perform an ALL ON option and the lights will go on, but when I do an ALL OFF, they stay on. If I let it sit for a few minutes and hit ALL OFF, it works. It's just really inconsistent.
It didn't always do this, and I haven't done anything differently lately. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have an interference problem. I was having the same problem in my family room where I have all of my stereo gear and TV plugged into a surge protector. I plugged the surge protector into a filter and it solved my problem. I also bought another filter for my computer gear and it solved the same problem I was having upstairs. Stereo & computer are notorious signal suckers.

What kind of a filter are you refering to? Where would I find one, and how much are they?

How would I install them? Do I plug the lamplinc modules I already have into them?

No, if you plugged an X10 module into a filter then that module would never hear X10 commands.
You use the filter to isolate items which produce powerline noise or attenuate X10 signals. Common offenders are computers, TVs/monitors, surge surpressors and UPS power supplies. I put filters on all of my computers, TVs and audio equipment.

weissums, just my 2 cents. not to step on the toes of those with more experience. my first ir543 did the same thing. i would see the red light flash (when using my remote) but nothing would happen. i'd wait a few minutes and all would be fine. REPLACE IT! i did and never had troubles again. if it's fairly new, the warranty should get you a new one, otherwise, you can still get them cheap.
