I’ve been using the X-10 system for sometime and it’s always worked perfectly. I have 2 wall switches and a wall plug module setup in my den.
Recently I had to unplug a few things while I had the carpets cleaned. When I plugged everything back in I noticed that the IR unit wasn’t working. I tried plugging it into different plugs but nada. The LED doesn’t come on when I push the buttons or use the remote.
Is it possible that it just died without a whimper? Are there any components inside the unit that I could get replaced or is the life span of these receivers only a couple of years?
I believe there tagged as an IR-543??
Thanks

X10 stuff has a one year warranty. A new one costs about $20 (US). Not worth fixing.

I opend it up last night and discoverd that a resistor had fried. I have two transformers pluged into the same cord and I'm thinking that maybe these had something to do with it.
Thnaks for the reply ONEAC
