The first thing to understand and accept is that a Pronto will not talk to an X-10 device. Pronto is IR, X-10 is RF.

The Pronto has to talk to a device that receives Pronto's IR output and then talks to the X-10 stuff. Easiest and cheapest thing is the IR543 from the site linked in Bill's post above. A better, but more expensive version is the IR543AH which expands it's capability from one house code to all house codes.

I find HomeAutomationNet.com about the best place to get this stuff, and the best place for good advice.
