I'm looking for better control of home security than the primitive HOME/AWAY scheme adopted by X10 and others. What if I want my basement motion detector on while I'm home in bed upstairs, but not my upstairs motion detector in case someone gets up to use the john or get a drink during the night? Why not be able to selectively enable or disable remote triggers from the console? Any ideas?

The systems by HAI, http://www.homeauto.com/, are quite sophisticated in what they can be programed to do and in their integration with other home automation.
