Hi,
I have a gas fireplace that is controlled by a low voltage switch on the opposite wall. What X10 product(s) can I use to control my fireplace with the X10 remote and from my PC?
Thanks Bob

You could use a PUM01 (Universal Module. Contact closure and beeper. Trips a device connected to the dry contact; rated at 24V DC. Optionally emits a notification beep. Commonly used for drapery controls, sprinkler systems, garage door openers, etc.) [Link: homeautomationnet.com]

There are X10 low voltage relays as well as appliance modules from Smarthome. You'd wire it inline with the switch and then you'd set an address for it. You'd need to have a remote receiver set to the same house code somewhere in the home to receive the signal. That should do it. However, don't most gas fireplaces come with IR remotes?? Can't you access it that way??
