I see that the Leviton version of the PalmPad (in black) has a knob on the housecode dial. Does anyone know how to retrofit a knob to an X10 PalmPad? Does anyone sell such an item?

I've also thought about that before, and was going to insert a vertical plug or a button of the correct size in the screwdriver crease along with some superglue. should work. I've got some old magnavox x10 remotes somewhere, I was going to try it on. they have 14 7/7 instead of 16 8/8 controls, but have a panic button that sets off an alarm on the main rf unit. funny the magnavox remotes work with the x10 base, but the x10 remotes don't work with the magnavox base.

Yes, some kind of plug is what I thought as well... though that's as far as I got :-). I was hoping maybe someone made a suitable one, but I guess it wouldn't be very profitable as it would only sell for 50 cents :-). I never thought of a button--that's a good one, especially if you cut it down a bit on one side to give a flat edge for inserting into the slot. Hmmm... how would you cut it down?

It just happens that I bought 10 of each color about two years ago on eBay. They're extremely handy! Larry www.fineelectricco.com
