Please help? I am currently constructing an extensive home theater. I own a HTM Mx 1000 remote. It is my understanding that the remote has the capability to control lighting. I am still a newbie on this issue and would first like to experiment with table lamp dimmers using x10 commands. Is this possible? If so does anyone reccomend specific products?

You will need an IR543, some X10 devices to control, and the code base for X10 which is available from the remotes library (under aux). You might want to look at this kit [Link: homeautomationnet.com] it's one of the best ways to start off on the right direction.
