I have several LampLinc LS modules in service. I also live in a city (Omaha) with a rather Mickey Mouse power company. They frequently drop the power off for about 1 second.

When these dropouts occur, I sometimes have a LampLinc that drops it's programming and reverts to default. Since I have at least half a dozen scenes programmed in, this is a major pain in the rear to have to reprogram.

It's not always the same LampLinc, and it doesn't happen every time.

I would prefer to use PCS dimmers, but they are rated for a minimum load of 60 watts, and my sconces (2) have 11 watt bulbs in them. The LampLincs are rated at 25 watts minimum, and they work fine with my load.

Does anybody have any ideas, solutions, or anything to suggest?

Thanks

Deane

Have you tried 25 watts on a PCS, it probably would work. I will ask the tech folks at SmartHome about the LampLinc memory, it is strange sometimes they do and sometimes they don't hold memory, my power goes out all the time and my Switchlincs have held.

Nice thing about PCS is that I can program them on the bench, disconnect and take them to an install several weeks/months later and they still are programmed.

Bill, I think I will give up on the Switchlincs. They are certainly a lot of dimmer for the money, but I want more reliability, so I'm going to try the PCS in this application. I can increase my bulb size a little if I need to. The other issue is the conviencince of computer programmng with the PCS. I have a number of PCS wall switches and I'm spoiled.

You'll see the order come through today.

Thanks

Deane
