X10 has two different transceivers: RR501 and TM751. How do they differ/which is better? My current transceiver (believe its the RR501, included with an ActiveHome kit 5 years ago), locks up whenever a bright or dim command is sent (from PalmPad, etc.) Do current versions of the same model still do this? How about the other transceiver?

They have made improvements in the RR501 (PAT01) from the original. The TM751 is prone to the same lockup problem as the old RR501. The newer units and X10 Pro PAT01 are much less suseptable to this.

Thanks, Bill. It's good to know the transceiver in the ActiveHome kit I ordered (I *hope* it's an RR501, as the last one was), will spare me those lockups :-).
