I am building a home in the mountains and I want to find a home security system that can do the following tasks: 1/ basic security (doors, windows, motion detector, phone calling) 2/ surveillance (I want a camera inside and outside) (viewable via internet) 3/ home light X-10 automation (controlled via phone and internet) 4/ thermostat for 5 zones of radiant heat (controlled via phone and internet)
Is there a good solution available for this?

I second Larry's recommendation, if you look at almost every serious control system's from the most expensive Crestrons to the inexpensive Ocelots. They will all support HAI Omni's as the core of a system. The HAI's can stand on there own just fine or integrate with just about everything. Bill www.homeautomationnet.com

I'll "third" the recommedation ... we use them fairly often (usually the OnQ HMS line ... made by HAI) ... nice thing is you can go from a very basic system to a very in-depth, bells and whistle type system (touchscreens etc.) ... programming is a breeze too

I just installed an HAI OmniLT in my vacation home (new construction) for the same reasons you stated. The system is flawless. It works as advertised. I was very impressed by the flexibility of the system.
