Yeah X10 (or whatever your name is), you were a big help. I will ask another "why" question - and that is, "why" would you be such a jerk and post something that doesn't help someone who needs help. There is no need for someone like you in a forum like this.
I am trying to learn something new and I have basic questions - you are not helpful and I would appreciate it if you would go to some other site if you feel the need to be immature like this.

It's not needed but it sure is a PLUS! It is Automatic Gain Control. It sets the level of the switch to the point just above noise. This keeps falses down and provided relaible operation.
I would try to get this feature in every X-10 module and switch. It only cost about 4.00 more and it's worth it!

Brad,
Just seemed like a joke to me. I was waiting for someone to add "Drink alcohol!" :) (A spoof on the Bid Dry commercials)
