I just bought the pronto (2000), and love it. Now I'd like to add lighting control. I'm not sure where to start. I have two free standing halogin lights in my HT room, and I'm looking for something I could plug into the wall that recives IR signals. Any pointers or product ideas would help alot. Thanks WT

Use an IR543 or IR543AH . This will turn on any X10 switches or modules you install by converting your Pronto's IR to X10. The AH has the pronto screens already built and comes on a disk with it.

Wes,

I'm putting together a web site which explains the various options for controlling X10 devices with IR remotes. The site isn't finished yet but it does have a lot of information which, I beleive, you'll find helpful.

My next step is to do the detailed pages on each unit.

I'd appreciate any feedback you might have on the site. I need to know where it succeeds in answering the questions of a newcomer like yourself as well as were it fails.
