i just bought the ir54. i have the sony 2100 and am looking to find out what all other stuff i need to buy to control the lights on/off and maybe dim please dont get to technical i am so very new at this and i need help please

If you have your IR543 all you need are the X10 wall switches for switched outlets or lamp modules for resepticles. Basic intallation instructions are included. I use a Pronto so not sure how you program the 2100 but someone else will surely jump in. You may want to check out [Link: x10ideas.com]
as they have some good basic info to get you started.

If you can get your hands on a Radio Shack 15-1994 it'll do what you need. Or it can be used to teach the AV2100.

I didn't know that the 2100 had any spare buttons or button labels for X-10?

i will use the tape function for the x 10 who still uses tapes anyway, is there any oter remotes i can use for the x 10
