My house is now fairly controllable via remotes, switches, and the CM11 macros (via ActiveHome). I am considering both ECS and HomeSeer software package to start expanding the automated part of the system, and want to get the internet and phone pieces worked in. I've heard a lot about HomeSeer (I downloaded the trial to try it, but got sidetracked and it expired!). I haven't seen much in this forum regarding ECS. I have seen their web site. Are there any user comments in this forum to compare the two?

I have used Homeseer for about a year now and have had no difficulties. The support from www.keware.com is excellent. I can recommend it. I have to experience with ECS other then playig with the demo, that I found cumbersome.

I bought HomeSeer, no better, I got my first credit card so I COULD buy HomeSeer.

It's very flexible it works, when the UK phone switch comes out I'll get it!

I just hope that they keep going, it's so much cheaper than some of the other systems.

I've had replies on general topics and as the previous reply said they DO support you.
