Slightly off topic, but does anyone know how I can get a 6-in-1 control (UR19A that came with ActiveHome) to operate a Sony portable stereo (model ZS-D55). I tried every Sony code under 'stereo' and under 'CD player' in the code listing, but no dice. And I lost the original remote.

The only suggestion I can make is to contact a well-versed Sony tech and ask if he/she knows if there is a Sony product that uses the same I.R. codes.

Neil,

have you tried searching for the codes?

1. turn on the device you wish to control
2. press and hold the set-up button untill the red light stays on
3. press the mode button of the item you wish to control.
4. press the channel + button until the device you want to control changes channel

note: I have had better results using the 'power' button effect #4 above AND it may require more than 50+ presses

hoe this helps, -Rick

Get a One For All Cinama 7. If it doesn't have the code out of the box, you can send it in and have it upgraded with the code you need.

Rick -- I did that but could not find a code that worked (well over 100 presses). I did not want to assume that this meant that there was no code available for it, as this is a prtable stereo, so I did not know if it would respond to Channel -/+.

Q -- I actually have too many 'localized' remotes, so I intend to get a Pronto eventually (after I get a real job again someday). But if the Pronto doesn't have it, I might get the Cinema 7 to get the code and have the Pronto learn it from that.

Thanks!
