I have a project coming up that I plan on using both Homelogic and RTI controls. Is there anyway to use HL and RTI to control the same source? For instance I will be specing in Lutron RA, with HL pluging into the RS 232. How do I get RTI to control RA as well? The house is 7000 sq ft so I will need multiple RA controllers/repeaters. I guess RTI can plug into one of these repeaters with IR.

I am also thinking of using RTI K4 inwalls in some of the bedrooms. To cut down on Touchscreen price. HL Touchscreen MSRP at $1999. My question is will the RTI product that has a webbrowser do JAVA? HL web interface uses JAVA. That way I wouldnt have to program the RTI system independtly, I could just log the RTI into the HL webinterface and let HL do its thing.

I use a Lutron RA-IR interface for Radio RA control from an RTI RP-6: it gives you control of up to 17 scenes

it accepts an IR emitter from the RP-6: the interface is a type of master control of the RA system

works nicely

RA doesnt have a RS232 and IR interface on the same control interface. So I would need 1 of each correct? Could they be spaced apart and used as repeaters?

they are Master Controls which do some of the same thing as a repeater : you may only need one for the whole house, as long as 17 scenes is enough

if you centrally locate an RM433 antenna (or two) it should work OK

the Lutron RA-IR is about $400.00 so worth a try

note it comes with a remote that only has 4 scenes plus all off and up/down but the Mega code list has all 17 commands

I use RA throughout a 5500 sq ft home: the HT has a Grafic Eye which can be controlled by IR or an RS232 interface (I use IR for the GE which shares IR codes for the RA-IR: I get arond this by using discrete port outputs from the RP-6)
