I had an IRF-6 and a CM-232i working fine. Upgraded to the RP-6 and serial commands would not work. Switched to a CM-232 and all works fine.

Anyone have similar experience with CM-232i not working with RP-6?

Let me get this straight, you have one of the old 2 part RS232 interfaces? Black cord with what looks like a gray null modem? This was attached to an IRF-6 controlled with a T2 and working fine? However, This did not work with the RP-6 so you switched to one of the newer all black CM232 interfaces controlled by a T2+, and your problem was resolved?

Having a little trouble getting RS-232 to work with the T2+ and RP-6. No problems whatsover with the T2 and IFR-6. Krell HTS will respond to RS-232 power off/on commands, but it takes a couple of tries. Faroudja NRS will not respond via RS-232. I'm using the new CM232's. Any ideas?

How do you send an IR command from the remote in the middle of a macro with the remaining commands RF?

Thanks.

"How do you send an IR command from the remote in the middle of a macro with the remaining commands RF?"

Under button properties set to Standalone
Create the first batch of rf commands (before the IR command) as a system macro and call this macro
Execute the IR command
Create the second batch of rf commands (after the IR command) as a system macro and call this macro

SG, thanks. Perfect advice!

Anyone have any ideas on RS232 and Faroudja NRS control? Varied baud rates, still no luck with T2+. Never a problem with the T2.

Try using a null modem, between the cm232 and the device in question. Oops, I just noticed that you were able to get it to work with the T2 and IRF-6? did you do an upload to the RP6? Did you try executing the commands with the USB cable disconected from the T2+ and the RP6?

Can you send me your Krell HTS command for the T2? I'm looking for discrete commands (such as Preamp Power On, Power Off, Zone 2 On, Zone 2 Off)?

Thanks.

Did you upgrade the firmware on the RP-6?

OK here is the problem I just was given a RTI T2 remote and I am unable to find the cable or the pin to program this. Does anyone know where I would come across one that would be great. I also have a harmony 6** series and so far its a POS
