After playing with the remote over the extended weekend, some thoughts:
Ergonomics are very good, though the remote is a bit heavy. Having the arrow keys and select make a big difference and allow the T2 to be substituted for all my remotes. Balance in the hand is also very good.
The LED screen is rather limited in size and really only allows for 6 buttons per screen (smaller buttons are hard to use unless you have really small fingers). They could probably add another row of buttons if they got rid of the heading (like Main Menu) and the left and right arrows on the bottom of each page. Getting 8 buttons per page would make a big difference.
Software is very good! Learning the IR codes is a very tricky process (way to hard). I have not had time to play with custom buttons / the graphics editor.
IR power is more limited than my Pronto. Going to RF should make this a non issue (I would assume that the RF distances will be much better than IR).
Macro capability is excellent, especially the conditional button presses. I find the macros to be very accurate (i.e. they work almost all the time) even complex ones, like changing the aspect ratio on the RCA DTC100.
No battery indicator, you only get the really low battery warning, no way to check the battery strength.
No clock, this would be a nice feature (and is available on the Pronto).
The * and the ENTER buttons (bottom left and bottom right ketys) are kind of strange (I use them for macros or other functions). When would you use * and when would you use ENTER (versus the select key in between the arrows)?
Overall, excellent, I am looking forward to the IRF-6 and the RS232 capabilities.
