Did I read that right this ugly (sorry, I like my Marantz remote, which doesn't work with the 90esg better in the looks department) remote works with the 90esg? Has anybody tried it?
Does it really have enough buttons to move the cursor around the screen? And enough pages to memorize my other remotes as well?

Plenty of pages. But according to the code list and folks at RTI, it's supposed to work with the 90ESG right out of the box. However, I haven't heard confirmation from users yet.

It's to bad you prefer the marantz but everyone is entitled to their opinion! And yes, it will work with the sony 90esg.

well I havn't tested the RTI yet (and I entered the contest so..heh) but if it operates the Sony, then its got one up in my book. I guess I'm so used to having all those keys on my remote. I'm one of those that think the more buttons the better. :)

Now that unit is out, can someone tell me if the unit can actually learn the 90esg or can you only use the builtin commands for the 90esg?
Also, does that mean I could program in the directional pad of the 90esg into the t2?

Roger,

The TheaterTouch Design software includes a Library Manager. This manager comes with a sample library that already contains commands for the 90esg. But if it did not, you could have learned the commands into the library.

And yes, you can program the screens any which way you want, including a directional pad. If you do not like the default button layout possibilities, you can even design a new directional pad with the Button Manager. But note that the resolution is not all that high.
