So the IR Pro will still not work with Vista or Win 7 (works with XP)

Is RTI ever going to fix this?

am I the only one seeing this?

this is really frustrating

Really, someone forgot to tell my 64bit Vista laptop that the IRPro won't work with it.

Maybe you have a bad IRPro, USB cable, or a missing drier on your computer? If it's any of those, then how is RTI going to fix it?

am I the only one seeing this?

Probably not, but it's not a widespread problem.

this is really frustrating

Yes it is.

A manufacturer (microsoft) brings out a product which is not backwardsly compatible with equipment which worked perfectly well on their previous products (XP etc).
personally i would be bitching at microsoft. they must be able to create a patch or something which would let XP compatible drivers work on Win7 or vista.

WHY is it left to the thousands of manufacturers / sw developers to create updated drivers for often legacy equipment???

I use the IR Pro on my Vista (32 bit) machine frequently.

Never had a problem.

I had an issue once where a driver failed to load...I took care of it by uninstalling ID and reinstalling....it has been fine since and wasn't that big a of a deal
