In new firmware (2.1) for devices supports GIF animated for dynamic images. Does anyone have any idea about this?

This could be really cool as long as the processor in the remote can handle the load.

Does the new weather radar display as a .gif image? If so, then that's the real reason for this capability. Nice.

Radar weather works fine in 7.1 supports Europe also.I think its jpeg format.
