I'm assuming you downloaded the static ip using the USB cable.

the first thing I would do is see if the RK3 is actually on the network.

You can ping it from the command prompt, or download a network scanner.

I use angry ip scanner

If it's on the network, try to download to it ovet the net, and make sure it's a awake. If it doesn't show up the first time, close the download box and try again, i've had it take a few tries before the software sees it.

You do have two cat5's connected to it right? I know it sounds dumb but it's got to be asked.
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

I can go out to the web and down load a web page on the RK-3 so I know it connect to the network. I can't seem to locate it on my network.

I went to command prompt entered the IP address I gave it and hit send and nothing, it could not find it. also I have it connected to and escient Music server and escient i-Pod and those are working great. Though it would be great to be able to up date the RK-3 over the network.

Also I tried using the setting "DHCP to configure networking" I am using a static IP address that is out of the router range.

I figured it out, the network address and the gateway address on this network is different. When I couldn't ping it I started to look at the network setting on the RK-3. Once I changed the gateway address and tried to update using network feature windows popped up (and I new it was going to work) and I unblocked it sent the file and away it went. It figured I would pick a weird one to give the network updating a try. Thank for all your help and maybe this will help others out.

One more thing, this is a great way to update the screens. I have been playing with it, it's cool, give it a try, it was worth the learning curve.
