My company has installed 70K worth of electronics, LCD, Plasma. Also 3 T3's & 3 RP-6's. Just curious how much would someone pay for an RP-6 or T3 that has smoke damage. I have yet to remove anything but curious what you guy's think. Obviously it is not under warranty after smoke damage. RTI is local to me so I could bring it to them for a cleaning.

Well DONT remove ANYTHING! As we all know, all electronic components come from the factory with smoke built in. once the smoke is let out, it wont work anymore.
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

If there's been smoke inside it, there has likely been damage. Or, as the other thread about this points out, there will be damage from residual chemicals.

If the TV has any kind of high voltage in it, expect it to die, hopefully peacefully, that is, without its own fire. There are chemicals and carbon deposits and high voltages tend to short out. Eventually.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Did I miss something???

Was there a fire in the house, and smoke damaged all the AV gear?

Or was it just coincidence that all the AV gear just blew up at the same time?
