Has anyone had success controlling a Playstation 3 from a rti remote? If so, how?

I did it with a Nyko IR remote designed for the PS3: it comes with a USB IR receiver: works fine

Put an IR emitter on the USB receiver eye which is plugged into a PS3 USB port, find the codes, and set them up in the RTI program

Nyko IR codes are in the Megalist 15

There are a few different brands of IR remotes: another brand adds on/off support

ps: if you are looking for the Nyko, I have one I am not using

I'm using the nyko receiver with my T3. It took a little while to iron out the kinks. The main thing is I found I have to turn off the sustain on all of the commands or I get double presses even if the repeats are at zero. Now it works like a charm, even if I do have to get up to turn the stinking thing off.

Ever considered leaving it on and using the Folding @ Home function? At least it's doing something....

just right click the button, or batch select and right click the buttons you want to do. go to the ir tab and put the repeats to 0 if they aren't already, and uncheck sustain. it's annoying that you can't leave it on for scrolling through big lists of stuff in the menu, but it does make the remote very functional for the blu-ray control. when I get a chance I'm going to try making some macros for sustained button presses to take the place of sustain. I was running in to the same issue on the 360, and it's a bit toggle device like the media center extenders.
