i was programming a rti t2+ and for some reason the "Enter" button on would not work the dch-6416. i used the codes from the dct 6412 model, but all the other functions worked flawlessly, but the enter button would not. i found a work around using a different model, but does anyone know why all the other codes worked and the enter didn't. any info would be great.

From what library?

Could be a bad learn.

Try the DCTxxxx (clean) profile in the mega list 15. I created those codes cleanly and they are thoroughly tested.

I've found that if you are using it in a chanel macro, "select" works more reliably.

I experience the same problem as a matter of fact if you were to press the enter button after channel selection using the cable box factory remote it will not work; Fish is correct you have to use the Menu-Select/Ok command.

I have also found a bug in version 6.1 ID that has not been resolve from version 5.1 TTD if you select the channel macro wizard and choose Do this AFTER each macro (window) click Add/Edit, change to Menu-Select/Ok command, remove the Enter command, click next it will not save the edit; you will have to manually remove the Enter command and add the Menu-Select/Ok command for all channels programmed with the Enter command using the right click edit macro per channel icon.

BTW...

Most if not all Motorola-Comcast boxes do not require the select/OK after three digit channel entry. You can select the auto-tune option in the menu to allow channel change with fewer than three digits but I highly recommend a three digit macro system (fewer call backs).

The enter button has never been mapped for menu or guide entry functions. It will often take you to music related options.

Wow, thanks for all the info. i have it fixed now. as far as the channel macro's the enter wasn't an issue. the problem came in when i used the guide or dvr menu we had no button to actually make a selection. with your help i found a code set that worked. thanks again
