Any of you guys integrate RTI with one of these before? It has a Serial port but, I have not found any codes for it, not even any RC5 codes. Kind of looks like an Abus type setup, with active speakers.

I received back from B&W a bunch of documents for this product today


This is very strange to me as it indicates that you can use either ASCII for basic switching & volume control or long Serial codes for more complex functions like setting timers.


9600 baud serial, 8 bits, no parity, 1 start bit, 1 stop bit.
No flow control - RTS/CTS tied together, no Xon/Xoff protocol.
9 pin D-type female connector, receive on pin3, transmit on pin2



Example - to select Tuner on zone D send the following six bytes

0x04, 0x03 , 0x03, 0x02, 0x00, 0x00

Composed of :

Checksum = 0x0

Number of data bytes = 0x4

Packet type = 0x03

Zone D = 0x03

Tuner = 0x02

Age = 0x0000



Then if you want to just do the simple stuff you can send ASCII
