Commercial client needs a VCR added to their conference room system.

Anyone have a recommendation as to a Brand/Model that is reliable and has some discreet power commands or other automation features?

JVC HRS3911U (S-Video inputs and discretes) OR Sony SLV-N71 (discretes)

Most Sony's have discrete power on off or can be activated with the play commmand.

Thanks for the info, its been a long time since I've dealt with a vcr.

Although, that does remind me of the last time I did do an install with a VCR. Tape was inside already so I just hit play to show the client that it was working. Guy was maybe 60. On comes a nice 2 girl porno. What can you say.

...same thing here.

We were working on a job and walked into the master suite of this place filled with paintings and drawings of female nudes. I bet the owner of the company $5 on the spot that if I turned on the TV and VCR a porn flick would be playing.

He took the bet.

I took his $5.

Same thing happened to me but I turned the TV in a clients office on and the sat box was already on one of the 'special' channels.
