Go ahead an rename them and send them to me. I will give Glack one big update to lighten his load.

I debated about the (clean) moniker for a while mostly because it takes up character space. I really wanted to indicate, however, that these code sets were definitive. Sure... I found a few errors here and there after the fact (mostly copy-paste import errors) but these codes are far superior to most of the learned files.

I just got tired of having issues with learned sets from other sources that have been added to the collection. It was so bad for awhile (at least for the files I was trying to use) that I started to improve my results just by selecting similar model files that looked better organized (logical naming, consistant frequencies, more complete set...) as opposed to the ACTUAL model. In addition, any files that are tested and from the RTI official database are indistinguishable from the crap, plus, I have no idea how RTI goes about adding codes. Are they clean or just really good learns?

If all of us can follow some sort of basic protocol about adding codes it has the potential to help all of us. If they are marked clean (i.e. generated with makehex... thanks John!), it should be an immediate indicator to someone that these are reliable!

I have also tried to look at other sets when I add a new clean set to see if I can weed out any crap. I just redid the entire Sharp TV/LCD/etc.. collection and eliminated anything with obvious bad learns, bad labels, incomplete files, duplicates, etc... The Sharp TV files were some of the worse that I have seen.

confirming, I just downloaded it and extracted it with no problem.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Just tried again from the link in the 2nd post.

Downloads fine with 79 kb file size

When I try to extract, I get the message "no files to extract". I'm using the onboard XP extraction tool (right click on file>extract)

Strange?

- Is that the download speed, or the file size you are downloading/extracting? The size of the zip I downloaded was around 2.93mb...

If your file is only 79 KB then the download failed for you, as this is a 3 meg compressed file. please try again.

Options lets you specify where the dl goes.

I have mine go to c:\downloads.
