Hi Cliff,

We recieved two of the new antennas yesterday. We did have to replace the IRF-6 first, but noticed a demonstable difference with the new antenna.

Cliff, why did you have to replace your IRF-6. Will everyone have to get a new IRF-6 to take advantage of the new antenna?

What is the difference between the new and old antenna?

Any word on the X10 modules or any other modules that are being worked on?

Thanks.

Got off the phone with etronixs they should have the high gain ant;s and spare batteries in stock by tuesday. Ant was $69 / battery 49 / rs-232 they say won't be availabe for some time still but the price was 79- . Extra computer cable $49-.

Don't know why you would need the extra computer cable?

Talking with RTI yesterday, they say the high gain adds about 30 to 40 feet to the T2 range but does very little to correct for a noisy environment that is limiting RF range. The CM-232 is used to interface with RS232 port equipped components. I don't know what extra cable is, that they are talking about. They just started shipping to their now limited distributor network, I will have them on my site at competitive prices when they arrive.

$49 for the computer cable? Yeouch. Too bad they didn't just use the standard phono jack. :-)
