Onkyo TX-NR709
My problem is ; when I start the receiver, it simply freeze, where they no longer respond to any remote command or buttons on the faceplate. The volume knob, the on/off switch... nothing works, but the unit is on. Then once we remove power completely by pulling the plug. After I plug on , the unit starts as same as when it was pulling the plug, and it continues the same freeze situation. Today I found a firmware update on your web page, I will update it this night when I go to home. I am wondering what is the problem. How can I get rid of this problem? It drives me crazy.

And I bought it last week. This is a new 2011 receiver. When I failed to use it, I looked at the Onkyo's web page and I see an update which was released 20 th of April. But when I read the details of the update , i could't see any thing about the freezing problem.Sometimes it enter such a loop and some like a button is always pushing on it. For example, when i push the bass button, it automatically starts to increase the bass level to the max or to the min. level. I didnt understand what is happening. And also as i wrote before comment, sometimes it freeze and nothing happens.

I only connect my older Pioneer home-theater speakers and my satellite receiver with hdmi only to the receiver. and also it is connected to the tv with hdmi out main. there is notihng more. might there be an empedans problem of the speakers with receiver?

Could possibly help me please?

Take it back from where you bought it and get a replacement.

Have you tried contacting the dealer in Paris? They should be able to help. If they don't try the Distributor in France and Turkey.
