Please help. I hooked up the new ASD-11R to the Denon av receiver. The default location is the VCR/IPOD. The screen on the Denon said connected almost immediately. Then, it displayed loading. I unplugged and hooked it up twice more. The screen still said loading. I let it load all night. The next day it said the same thing, " loading". Anyone else have a similar problem or solution?

What receiver and what iPod are you using?

Denon AVR- 591 and i-pod classic 160 GB

I used a friend's 2nd generation I-Pod touch and it connected and played almost immediately. He only had around 150 songs loaded onto his ipod. However, I had almost 1000. I might try sync fewer songs onto my ipod and check it that way.

Send an RC message to member M Hi Fi. He's the Denon trainer and will be glad to come here and describe the solution.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Curious how you made out with syncing a smaller number of songs? With the larger file count that you originally had on the iPod, did you try using the "REMOTE iPod Mode"? The mode that the AVR was in is the "BROWSE Mode" this allows the meta data to be displayed on the panel where you had seen "loading". To change from Browse to Remote try the following:

1. Select dock on the remote control
2. Press and hold the Search button for about 3-5sec
3. The AVR's display should show Remote
4. Try selecting a song or playlist from the iPods front face.

To return the unit to Browse press and hold the Search button again for 3-5sec.
