Hello Remote Central! First post here!

I just entered into the world of audio equipment, and settled on the above mentioned Sony. Now I don't mind using two remotes, but for convenience reasons I was hoping I could use a single remote.

I currently have a universal remote which came with my 42" Vizio, and was looking for some codes which would allow me to use the receiver--and hopefully more than just power and volume, but HDMI/Component switching as well.

Thanks for any help!

After a bit more searching, I found code 31758 works to turn the receiver on and off. I also found a link: [Link: remotecentral.com]

...which allows me to program most of the functions. However, a code that is missing is the BD in slot, which I would be using for my PS3. Still searching, but finding these remote codes is not easy =P

Edit: Ok, I need both BD in and SAT in please! Everything else works well =)

Try 15564 for the SAT.

This list hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_rcvr.htm says that BD is Sony 20 protocol, device 16.32, function 22.

I don't believe that a Vizio remote can send device 16.32, so I think you are out of luck.  If you really want the BD capability, you can buy a $30 interface cable and upload that device and function.

Thanks for the reply and the SAT code--which works well. I also found a code for Input +/-, and that allows me to switch to BD using the Vizio remote so for now I'm good to go. Thanks for the help!
