I have my sony STR-K790 receiver paired with my Atlas 1056 using the device code 1758 and it works to control volume and power but i would really like to control the input selection buttons. The sony remote has a dedicated button for each pairing. e.g. a button that says DVD to switch to the coax connection and a button that says Video 2 to switch to the Optical connection. Is there any way to map these buttons to my Atlas remote? I've downloaded RemoteMaster but can't seem to find a matching fileset for my receiver. thanks a lot. sorry if this is in the wrong section.

You don't need an exact match. Sony is pretty good about keeping their codes constant. I use the file called Sony STR-DE945 Receiver, but many others willl work. You can also look at hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_rcvr.htm to see the various function codes, and use those with RM to come up with EFCs.  Make sure you change the remote type to Atlas 1056.

The Lookup Tool www.getzweb.net/jp1/ shows that 1758 provides vol+ with EFC=32969.  I believe that decodes to device 48, which suggests that your receiver is set to AV2 mode (AV1 uses device 16).

Then DVD input would be EFC = 61385.  If the device is actually 16, then 61389
Video 2 is 65993  or 65997.
