Hello guys, been lurking for a little while, first time poster as I've just bought my first flat screen and was hoping for a little help. I want to wall mount my screen after seeing my friend's new one mounted on his wall - it's amazing how little space they take up compared to my old box telly. The TV does look pretty fragile though and I'm *really* worried about the it dropping off the wall thanks to a shoddy bracket (or, more likely, my rubbish installation work). So, was hoping you guys might be able to point me in the direction of a reputable company. My friend recommended Value TV Brackets (he said that's where he got his) but if you have any better suggestions (preferably based in the UK) please let me know!

visit a local dealer near you, tell them what TV you have, tell them what you want the bracket to do, tell them what sort of wall you are fixing it to. and see what they recommend. ask them which ones they install. they could even give you advice on wall anchors
many of the brackets on that site are not worth their cheap price ticket. the pressed tin troy brackets sag. move the artic arms left or right and you are immediately off level. many of those are non branded products from chinese factories ( i have seen them under various names).
none of the brackets i sell are the cheapest on the market, but they will hold the tv firmly to the wall and it will be level. Period

I found a great website called WizitAV.com. They sell wall mounts from chief and sanus at a reasonable price. I bought a sanus mount a hung my flat panel tv on the wall. It has been up there for about a year now and is solid. Its always nerve racking to mount a TV because you don't want it to fall after spending a thousand dollars on the TV.

What's the chances that Funk and Cboy both posted for the first time and are both in this same thread. I smell advertisement here as Duct Tape suggests.
