I can't seem to find any decent shallow speakers (in-wall). The wall depth is 3". Most speakers seem to need to be 3.25"-3.75". I was looking at the Polk LC65i's, but they seem to deep.

Any reccomendations? Looking to spend about $400/speaker. I'll also need a matching center, preferrebly standalone, and matching in-ceiling rears.

Pity about the dimensions, I would have suggested these. Might also be a little more than you'd want to pay, but they're definately worth it.

Thanks dj, unfortunately they won't fit. :-(

It's going on the exterior wall of a condo with metal studs, and unfortunately there's only limited depth. The prewire was already done, but just to standard junction boxes.

Actually, the one side is 3.5" but the other is 3.0". I could fit in a Polk on one of them...just not the other.

Anyone know if they actually measure the full 3.25"?

Go to your local Tap Plastics store (or some plexiglass fabricator) and have them cut a white plexiglass frame of 1/2" or so thickness that will sit them out of the wall the right amount.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Checked them out...60 watts seems a little low.

Triad will custom make them to account for various obstacles. I would guess that they could also accomodate you.
