I currently own 2 of the One for All Universal Remote Control. I have the URC-8820B00 and URC-6131nB00. I bought some new home theater equipment and have shifted around some of the equipment I have in my living room into my bedroom and now my OFAs don't seem to want to control what I have.
Living Room TV - Sony KP-51WS520 Audio Receiver and DVD player - Onkyo LS-V955 Cable Box - Motorola DCT6412..(the HD dual tuner DVR model) Game Console - XBox with DVD Dongle
Bedroom TV - Sony KV-27FS120 Audio Receiver - Sony STR-K502P DVD Player - Sony DVP-NS315 Cable Box - Motorola from Comcast...(not the DCT6412)
Does anyone know of a brand of universal remote control that I can buy that will accomodate my setup(s)? Apparently these OFAs are rather limited in what they support. Any info would be appreciated...:)

I thought the 8820 was a 'learning' remote. If it is, learn the codes from the oem remote to the universal remote.
I primarily use the MX series(350/700/850) so I'm not sure of your remote's capability.
Try posting in the 'One For All and Radio Shack' forum.
Experience is a key factor! I'm sure someone there can answer your questions.

I remember the first time I used one of these remotes. It was a URC9910. The default codes for a SONY HD stb were not working, so I called tech support. They had me hold the remote to the earpiece of the telephone, so they could do a download of the new codes. I thought she was yankin my chain, and there was a hidden camera in the next room or something!
"You want me to.... hold the remote.... next to the phone????"
"Yes sir"
"Yaaaa rrrright!"
Sure enough though, it worked. Never seen it before, and I thought the technology was actually kinda cool.
