You said nothing offensive and it was obvious you were trying to help with your questions, and you were very polite. So thanks for the effort! I know that people's time is limited which is why I appreciate LowPro taking the time to write such a lengthy and clear explanation.

After LowPro explained it, I called URC and they said you can't enter discrete codes into the UR-200. There's apparently a work-around where you can buy a cheapie remote like a $20 One-For-All 8811 which DOES accept discrete codes, and then use the URC-200 in the learning mode to learn the codes from it.

But I decided to just go to a higher-end model from URC, the MX-700, so I returned the URC-200. I like the fact that the MX-700 shows 10 items on its LCD instead of the URC-200's 5 items. And since I can program it from a PC, it should be a lot easier than poking at buttons to enter macros.

Again, thanks for the help PennyG & LowPro!

good choice. list your components and we will all be more than willing to help.

Be sure to do a live update under the help section of the mx-700 editor software.

good luck & enjoy
