Has anyone installed the new i-command yet?

Is the install/setup as easy as they advertise?

How is the software for customizing the touchpanel? I have used ProntoEdit/Wizz.It extensively, would the learning curve be reasonable?

Pros/Cons?

Thank You!

O.K. anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can't customize the panel, you have to use their predesigned templates. This is why it is so easy to setup and use. I had a demonstration on the setup and it was very easy and quick. It is a bit pricey for one room, but a very cool panel.

I was confused by that, there is some reference to some custom pages but the info is sketchy. It's a Theater w/HTPC and whole house audio implementation so it interested me.

I know when you use all Rotel gear, it automatically senses which products you are using and lays out all the pages. If you use equipment other than Rotel, you have to learn the codes (or use preset codes), but the panel still lays out the predesigned templates for that type of product (i.e.-DVD, VCR, whatever).

One interesting thing, you can actually use the panel to browse the internet. It is recommended, however, that it not be used to do this because there is no virus protection. It is a cool product that I'm hoping to get into our shop soon to play with. It would be kinda hard to make that sell without someone getting to see the panel and play with it.

The one thing I don't like about the product is you need all the little external modules to go with it, since it's IP based.

A very common customization is having tabs for TV channels...One for Kids, One for News, etc. On each panel is the channel logos with the proper channel number being sent to the Cable/Satellite box. Could this be done without some kind of customization software?
