I am in a new house that is pre-wired by the builder and the speaker wires terminate through standard electrical boxes in the ceiling. I brought some B-Tech BT34
Ceiling-mount speaker brackets ( [Link: crutchfield.com] ) to mount my Bose cube speakers. But the bracket's base doesn't seem to be big enough to cover the standard electrical boxes. Do I need an additional plate or do I need to get different ceiling-mount speaker brackets. I can't find any bracket that have a large enough base to cover the electrical box. What are my options? Thanks.

Buy metal box covers, paint them to match the ceiling, and then screw the mounts to them.

I used a white plastic wall plate with a hole in it which is commonly used for boxes with coax and ran my speaker wire through that hole. Then I attached my speaker mount to the ceiling next to the wall plate and ran the wire out to it. Looks clean.
The closer I get to the truth....the further I find I am from it

thanks for the ideas. I also found another option on this site [Link: btech-usa.com]. It's basically the same idea as the metal plate.
