Has anyone paired the Denon 3805 with Rotel 1095 power amp? I already have the Denon 3805 and am ordering the Rotel 1095 5 channel amp. I would like some input if anyone has any to give. I heard the Rotel paired up with a Rotel pre/pro but haven't heard it with anything else.
The Rotel seems to have good reviews. Some people say that other amps like the Anthems and Adcoms have more detail and punch. I am going with the Rotel because it fits nicely in my rack and it also looks pretty cool too. But sound, build quality, and reliability are most important.
What are your thoughts?

I personally dont like rotel. I have a 1055 at home on loan and it sound crap with kef speakers. Ive heard a rotel hi fi set up in the shop and didnt liek that either (b&W speakers). Sounded flat. Boxed in the same as mine does now.
I'd never buy anyhting on what a review says. Ive done that beofre and been disapointed.
Rotel also gets in my head and gives me a head ache after a while but when I was a kid my dad had a rotel set up in the days of vinyl. It was magic and people with more expensive setups then his also thought so and were envious. (Wharfedale speakers.)
I cant wait to get my yamaha back. It has warmth, better menus and setup.

The Rotel is very good for the money, but I would also look at B&K for a little more money. I own the Adcom 7805 but it does not fit nicely into anything. The real question is what speakers? That is what you need to match over your pre/pro reciever. John, as a Rotel and Yamaha dealer I am more then suprised to hear that. I wonder if you just got a bad demo? What yamaha do you have?

Check out Bryston as well. A little more expensive, but IMO the best amps available at their price range.

LiCustom,
I have had the Rotel at home for 3 months and I had the yamaha for about 2 months before it was sent to yamaha uk for inspection.
I have not grown to like the rotel at all. As soon as I put it on it got into my head and rattled around. Ive played with all the settings but it is no where near as nice as my Yamaha 2400rds.
The control and warmth or the 2400rds is far superiour to what I hear with the rotel. The shop are as shocked as you to hear me say this but I guess that why different brands sell.
These 3 months and counting without my 2400rds have been horrid. I am hoping that I wont have to spend xmas with this rotel. I can see a divorce on the horizon. All I want to do is throw a blanket over it and pretend its not there.
My experience is a home demo of 3 months...beats any shop afternoon session no matter how good.
With the ymaha 2400rds I could feel the music, it stirred the soul and my friend thought so as well. Stunned silence is always a good sign. With the added THX it is amazing in movies too.
I have to go now as all this reminissing is making me sad and I feel a tear coming on LOL :-)
regards john

Mike I wouldn't disagree with that. Try finding used items; as rare as hens teeth. David

LIcustom,
I have Def Techs BP 7002s for the fronts, CLR 2500 for the center, and BP2Xs for the surrounds.
What do you mean when you say the Adcom 7805 "does not fit nicely into anything"?
