Anyone installed 1 of these yet? Or any other with the controller? Thoughts? Comments? Worth the cost? Used separate controller with some one elses panel?

Thanks for the input

Didn't actually install one, but I did assist with troubleshooting one.

And the problem was a bad Vivix box. Which left the homeowner with no out until such time as he mmight be able to get the thing fixed. Unit had been ordered front side of job, and warranty was gone by time of installation

Never did hear back on that one.

That's strange - warranty doesn't start until customer takes possesion then 3 years after that. Was this a decade long job or what? I'd check with Runco on that one

It was a very odd deal indeed.

This guy is close friends with a gentleman who lives in the ski resort area of Colorado.

The guy in Colorado has an "in" with many of the high end company execs, so he can get virtually ANY product at cost.

Basically, the guy in Colorado allows the execs to use some of his ultra high end condos for freebie vacations, and in return the execs will get him most anything that he wants, equipment wise.

So my local guy had his friend get him this projo a few years back when he was just in the planning stage. Local guy fills out the warranty paperwork and sends it in, and then some 4 years later actually gets around to installing the thing.

Prolly will get it fixed for free, but if this product problem is indicative of Runco, then I'm thinking it's not a good thing. Especially since Runco isn't know for the low pricing structure....lol
