I am needing a lot of help!!

I am currently building a house, and planning to put a surround system in the house.

My ceiling is wired for 5 in-ceiling speakers and I also need a subwoofer. I also need a receiver, and I want to know the best I could get for my moneys worth.

I am budgeted for around $2,000 to $3,000 for the whole system, but up to $4,500 would be OK. If anyone can give me some information on getting all of this equiptment in this price range, please e-mail me and let me know!

Thanks a lot!

How married are you to the idea of using ceiling-only speakers for your surround sound?

My plans can't be changed - this is all up to the people I live with, and what was recommended. Our floorplan is basically set up for the in-ceiling speakers, and ground speakers will not fit right.

All I need are some high-quality in-ceiling speakers, a good receiver, and a subwoofer.

If you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Niles DS-6500-AT's, Denon AVR-3805, Earthquake Supernova MK12. Makes a sweet little package.

I recommend Niles Directed Soundfield in-ceilings, Definitive Tech SuperCube I or II and the Integra DTR-6.5 or 7.4 THX receiver. A Home Theater Master remote or similar is also a must.

You may want to look into the Triad line of speakers. You would not be disappointed.

Boston Acoustics DSi495's for Left/Center/Right (LCR), Boston DSi465 for Surrounds, Boston Sub PV700, Integra Receiver (you could get away with the DTR-4.5 since you're only doing 5 channel surround, but as DDeca mentioned the other Integra would be nice too), Integra DPS-6.5 Universal DVD Player (supports SACD and DVD Audio) and a Pronto --- Should be under $4K (install not included) ---- Triad, as geraldb mentioned, makes some great speakers --- Jamo makes a line of in-ceiling surround speakers that are a little cheaper and perform well

Where are you located in the US? Maybe someone local to you could go beyond the multiple good suggestions here.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
